The Youth Guarantee in Spain: A worrying situation after its implementation

This article presents a critical assessment of the application the Youth Guarantee programme, oriented toward young people under age 30, in Spain from 2013 to 2018. It analyses effectiveness programme enrolment and coverage classified as “NEETs” (not employment, education or training), the adaptation catalogue proposed measures to young people’s reality, whether not these measures have addressed different intersections, such as gender, social class origin, indispensable elements for integration into society that make it possible shape young experiences. Finally, through 2017 Continuous Sample Working Lives, which provides a representative extract anonymised individual data through non-parametric bootstrap sampling technique, this will analyse level youth employment precarity by gender, educational attainment, and province. Overall, conclusion is Youth Guarantee has succeeded changing precarious position people.
